Last weekend we headed up to the municipality of Vallgorguina, situated about 50mins up the coast and inland on the boarder with Girona. This time of year is all about autum traditions and the Festa Major in the town is all about the fresh bounties of the forest with the Fería del Bosque.
This experience was all about woodchopping, fresh local produce and smoking mounds, and of course the worlds most amazing liquor, Ratafía! The woodchopping isn't just your ordinary lumberjack with an axe stuff, its full on chainsaw!
TIP: try the Ratafía!
